The cello is often lauded as that instrument most perfectly aligned with the human voice;  Helen Crane in her works for cello masterfully brings out that correspondence between the string and the voice.  Her music for cello embraces a wide variety of stylistic expression and utilizes many structural platforms, whether it be A-B-A in many of her idylls or larger dance forms as in her Suite for Cello op. 64.
